Where creative expertise meets business and society.

Tanssin talo · 22–23 April 2027

The premise

What can business and the rest of society learn from creative expertise?

Creativity shapes what people notice, desire, remember and care about. Yet creative expertise is still too often treated as decoration, entertainment or inspiration — brought in after the important decisions have already been made.

ODDference starts from the opposite idea. For two days at Tanssin talo, creative practitioners meet business and society as experts — exploring what imagination, taste, cultural relevance and experimentation can teach us about the challenges ahead.

Why come

Three reasons to be in the room.

01Learn

See familiar problems through a different lens.

Creative professionals work with attention, emotion, experience, meaning and differentiation every day. ODDference brings that expertise into the questions business and society are facing now.

02Meet

Connect with people outside your usual circuit.

ODDference brings together creative leaders, business leaders, founders, policymakers, institutions and researchers — putting potential clients, partners and collaborators in the same room who rarely meet at a single-industry conference.

03Experience

Don't just hear the argument. Experience it.

If creative expertise is the point, the event itself should prove it. Artists and creative practitioners shape the spaces, scenography, performances, soundscape and other parts of how ODDference feels.

What could your organisation enable inside ODDference?

Bring an idea, a question, expertise or resources. The best partnerships should improve the event for the people in the room, not just add another logo on a wall.

Questions

What is ODDference?

A business conference where creative and cultural practitioners take the stage as experts rather than as entertainment, and business leaders, founders, policymakers and institutions come to learn from them. The 2026 edition ran over two days in central Helsinki with 25 speakers and more than 30 sessions.

When and where is ODDference 2027?

Thursday 22 and Friday 23 April 2027, at Tanssin talo in Helsinki, in the middle of ODDfest week (19–25 April). On the Friday the whole week comes together there for ODDcelebration. The programme is still being built — ticket holders hear first as it is confirmed.

Is the 2027 programme published?

Not yet. Blind Bird is deliberately sold before the programme is complete, which is why it is the lowest price the event will be sold at. The 2026 speakers and sessions above are there so you can judge what the event is actually like before the next line-up exists.

Why buy before the programme is announced?

Price. Blind Bird is €299, Early Bird is €399 and the regular ticket is €499, each plus VAT 13.5%, so committing early is worth €200 against the full price. If you would rather wait for the line-up, the later tiers will be there.

Can I buy an Early Bird or regular ticket now?

No. The tiers open one at a time, and Blind Bird is the current one. The other two are shown with their real prices so you can see what waiting costs. Blind Bird is on the ticket page now, paid by card. If your organisation needs an invoice instead, email hello@oddfest.co.

Does an ODDference ticket include ODDfest?

ODDference 2027 takes place during ODDfest week, 19–25 April, and the 2026 ODDference Pass included ODDfest access. What the 2027 ticket includes beyond ODDference itself, ODDcelebration included, is not settled yet — the ticket page is the source of truth for what each ticket covers.

What language is ODDference in?

ODDference 2026 ran in English, with speakers from Finland, Denmark, Canada and the US. The working language for 2027 will be confirmed with the programme.

Who is it for?

Business leaders, founders, business development and partnership people, organisational leaders, policymakers and institutions, and creative leaders working beyond the cultural sector. It is built for people who want perspectives and relationships outside their own industry.

Can my organisation partner with ODDference?

Yes. Partnerships can be an idea, a question, expertise or resources — the ones that work improve the event for the people in the room rather than adding a logo. Use the partnership link on this page and tell us what you have in mind.

I have a question that isn't answered here.

Email hello@oddfest.co — including anything about an existing ticket order.
