Helsinki's creative week.

What ODDfest is

Made across Helsinki, by the people taking part.

ODDfest is a week of independently made events across the city. Artists, collectives, venues, organisations, communities and companies create and produce their own programme. ODD brings those separate things together into one week that is easier to find, follow and experience.

Your event. One shared week.

You / the host

You lead the idea, content, production and economics of your event. It stays your thing, with your own identity and decisions.

ODD

We build the shared layer around it: the ODDfest identity, the public programme and discovery platform, communications around the week, coordination, and connections between hosts, audiences, venues and partners. When there is a useful match, we want to help people find each other rather than leave every organiser to solve everything alone.

The shared platform

Each approved event should be easy to discover through the common ODDfest programme with practical information, location and the host's own links or ticketing. The exact 2027 platform features are still being built, so only promise functions that are confirmed in the implementation.

ODDfest is not a central production office, and it is not just a logo placed on separate events. The point is to make independent things stronger and easier to discover together.

How it works

01

Bring something you want to make happen

An exhibition, performance, workshop, screening, dinner, open studio, club night, conversation — or something we have not thought of.

02

Tell us about it

It does not need to be finished. We want to understand what you are making, where it could happen, what stage the idea is in and whether there is something you need help finding.

03

Build it

You lead the production and keep control of the content, budget and practical decisions. Where there is a useful fit, ODD can help connect you with other hosts, venues, partners or resources. That help is collaborative and case by case, not automatic production or funding.

04

Become part of the city-wide programme

ODD connects the event to the shared identity, programme, discovery platform and communications so that, for one week, independent creative activity across Helsinki becomes easier to find as one larger whole.

Bring something to ODDfest 2027.

We are collecting event ideas now. It can be fully formed or still taking shape. Tell us what you want to make happen, where you are with it and what kind of connections or support could be useful.

Practical / FAQ

What is ODDfest?

ODDfest is Helsinki's creative week: a city-wide programme of independently organised events brought together under one shared identity, programme and discovery layer.

Who can organise something?

Artists, collectives, venues, organisations, communities and companies — anyone with something they want to make part of the week.

What kinds of events can be part of it?

Exhibitions, performances, screenings, club nights, workshops, talks, open studios, dinners and other things that belong in Helsinki's creative life. If you are unsure, ask us.

Who produces and pays for my event?

You remain responsible for the core production and budget of your event. ODDfest does not automatically fund or produce host events. But the idea is not to leave every host alone: where we can, we help through coordination, visibility, useful introductions and connections to other hosts, venues, partners or resources. Any direct production or financial support is agreed case by case.

Can ODD help me find collaborators, venues or partners?

Sometimes, yes. Tell us what you are looking for. If there is a relevant match inside the ODDfest network, with another host, a venue or a partner, we can make the introduction. We cannot promise a match or funding for every event.

What does ODD provide?

The shared ODDfest identity; a common public programme and discovery platform for events and practical information; communications around the week; coordination; and connections between hosts, audiences and partners where useful. Exact 2027 platform features will be published as they are confirmed.

How do the commercial terms work for hosts?

The 2027 participation and revenue model is still being finalised. Before hosts commit, ODD will publish clearly what, if anything, is charged, what is included and how any shared commercial model works. Hosts keep control of their own event economics unless a separate collaboration agreement says otherwise.

Can events be free or ticketed?

Either. Hosts control their own event ticketing unless a specific collaboration agreement says otherwise. There is no single central ODDfest ticket for the distributed programme.

Where can events happen?

Venues, studios, galleries, offices, public spaces and other locations across Helsinki.

When is ODDfest 2027?

The exact dates are not yet confirmed. Register your interest and we will share them when they are set.

How do I submit an idea?

Use the Register your event idea link and tell us what you are thinking, how far along it is and whether there is something you need help finding.

How does attending work?

Once the programme is live, each event will have its own time, location and ticketing information. You choose what you want to attend across the week.
